Staying safe in our church community

Everybody has a right to be safe from danger and anyone who might harm them.
At Clifton Moor Church, the Church Council have agreed to follow the Anglican parents safeguarding parish policies.  Which means following the policies of Clifton Parish Churches.  Full details are below.

At Clifton Parish Churches, we believe that all children and teenagers should be protected from danger and harm. The church also believes that there are some grown ups who need to be protected from danger and harm. There are some people who need help because they might try to harm others. The church wants to make sure that anyone who takes part in any activity in church is safe.
To make sure everyone can be kept safe there are some rules and ideas that will help this happen. If you would like to find out what these rules and ideas are, you can download our
local safeguarding policy and volunteer handbook, Clifton Parish Churches Recruitment of ex-offenders policy statement,
Parish Domestic Abuse Policy or you may also wish to look at a longer, more detailed set of policy guidelines. You can also download the latest ‘Clifton Parish Social Media Policy’ document.

If you would like to talk to somebody about feeling safe and being safe, please contact the Parish Safeguarding Representative on O7562 990371 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on O7551 124951 or O19O4 966524.
If you or someone you know is immediate danger of being harmed then please do not hesitate to contact the police or your local social services department. If someone speaks to you about feeling safe or being safe you can download forms to log the information: Logging a concern about children/young people, logging a concern about vulnerable adults or concern about a volunteer or worker in the church community.
